Bashokan (serve-style wanko soba)

Bashokan's Wanko Soba is served in a platter style. Also known as Hiraizumi Wanko Soba, bowls filled with bite-sized soba noodles are brought to the table. Transfer the soba noodles to your own bowl, add your favorite seasonings, and enjoy in one bite. Hidehira-lacquered trays and bowls are used.

Hiraizumi Rest House

A resting place in front of the gate of Chusonji Temple in Hiraizumi. The restaurant on the second floor, "Restaurant Gen," is certified as an Iwate local production and local consumption restaurant. At this restaurant, you can enjoy locally sourced menus such as mochi dishes and Maezawa beef menus while looking out over Chusonji Tsukimizaka. The restaurant on the 1st floor, "Food Court Mon," is a family-friendly restaurant that offers a variety of menus, including ramen restaurant set meals, with a focus on the local cuisine and Hiraizumi specialty, "Benkei Chikaramochi Set (5 mochi dishes)." There is also a large shopping corner stocked with many souvenirs from Iwate and Tohoku, a group restaurant that can accommodate up to 1,200 people, and a large parking lot that can accommodate 100 cars and 30 large buses. There is a ``Hiraizumi Cultural History Museum'' within the facility that introduces Hiraizumi culture.

Iwate Prefectural Hiraizumi World Heritage Guidance Center

On November 20, 2021, a facility opened that will serve as a base for disseminating information about the value of Hiraizumi's cultural heritage both domestically and internationally. There is a corner introducing the Yanaginogosho Ruins, which is said to be the site of the Oshu Fujiwara clan's government office.
