    It opened on September 22, 2019.
    The purpose of this facility is to convey the facts and lessons learned from the tsunami to future generations, and to disseminate the state of recovery both domestically and internationally, in order to prevent a repeat of the tragedy of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.

    A facility set up to help visitors deepen their understanding of the restoration and reconstruction project. There are panel displays showing the status of recovery and reconstruction, as well as the roots of damaged pine trees that remained in the pine forest.
