Genbu Onsen

A hot spring located 10km north of Shizukuishi Town, along the road to Amihari Onsen. The Kakoneda River flows nearby, making it a quiet environment perfect for relaxation. It is also a convenient base for mountain stream fishing and autumn foliage viewing. Chloride hot spring containing sodium bicarbonate. Effective for rheumatism and neuralgia. There are three accommodation facilities.

Takinoue Onsen

It is a hot spring located in a volcanic zone with a history of over 200 years and was opened before the 7th year of Ansei. Deep in the Kakkonda Valley from Genbudo Cave, it is a secret hot spring surrounded by virgin beech forest, and the beauty of the 30-meter-high Shimagoe Falls, which shines especially in the autumn leaves, is breathtaking. The spring quality is simple sulfur spring and contains sodium chloride. Effective for chronic skin diseases, diabetes, etc.

Koiwai Farm Kamimaru Cowshed Group

Koiwai Farm has grown along with the development of dairy farming in Japan. A total of six buildings, including cowsheds and silos, that were built and used during its more than 100-year history have been designated as nationally registered tangible cultural properties. All of them were built between the end of the Meiji period and the beginning of the Showa period, and the brick silo in particular is said to be the oldest existing in Japan. In addition, there are cultural property buildings scattered every few kilometers within the grounds, which are the setting for Kenji Miyazawa's poems and fairy tales, and tours of these buildings are held every year.
