Natsuyu Onsen

Natsuyu Onsen is a deep secluded hot spring located at the northern end of Kurikoma Quasi-National Park, overlooking the Natsuyu Valley surrounded by virgin beech forest. The discovery and use of hot springs has a long history, and a medicinal book from the Edo period described it as ``the most famous hot spring in the Nanbu Domain.'' In the hot spring rankings published in Edo and Kyoto at the time, it was ranked as the highest ozeki in the east, along with Hongu Onsen in Kishu, the ozeki in the west. It is still one of the ``100 famous hot springs in Japan''.

Hachiro Sato Memorial Museum “Scolded Bozu”

*Closed (reopening date undecided) Hachiro Sato is known for writing the lyrics for nursery rhymes such as ``Happy Hinamatsuri'' and ``Cute Hide and Seek,'' as well as the popular song ``Ringo no Uta.'' According to him, he wrote about 20,000 works during his lifetime. Through his writings, records, and belongings, we explore the warm personality and free-spirited way of life that overflows in the world of his works.

Kitakami Zazengusa no Sato

To the east of Inaba Shrine in the Fujine district of Waga-cho, Kitakami City, there is a colony of zazenso that has been cherished by the locals. There is a wooden path, so it is safe to tour. The Zazengusa Festival is held in mid-March, and the area is crowded with performances of local performing arts and direct sales of local products.
