Kujihiradake

Kujihiradake is 706m above sea level. This is a great hiking course that is 5km from the trailhead to the top and takes about an hour to walk. The view from the summit is spectacular, with a 360-degree panoramic view of Mt. Iwate, the Hakkoda Mountains in front of you, and the Pacific Ocean behind you. The night view of the azaleas in early summer and the fishing fires swaying in the distant sea is especially magical. Near the top of the mountain, there is Kujidaira Shrine, dedicated to the guardian deity of horses, Ozen-sama. There is also a campground, and events are held in the spring, summer, and fall, making it a lively place.

Yamato no Oka Forest Park

Yamato-no-oka Forest Park is located halfway up Mt. Kujihiradake. The view from the Chibikko Hiroba viewing point offers a panoramic view of more than 270 degrees, with the rich greenery of Taneichi and the refreshing blue of the sea. The plaza also has slides and other play equipment, making it perfect for families. The park has a campsite with a wooden deck and an administration building with a shower room, so you can enjoy a comfortable outdoor life. Transfer to JR Tohoku Main Line Hachinohe Station and get off at JR Hachinohe Line Taneichi Station

Taneichi Farm Direct Contact Plaza

It's a lively farm-to-table center filled with seafood and mountain produce, and locals visit every day because of the prices and freshness of the products. Seasonal vegetables, mushrooms, wild plants, and freshly caught seafood are lined up. There is also a restaurant where you can enjoy local food.
