It is one of the oldest apiaries in Japan, having been raising and studying honeybees for over 120 years since its establishment in 1901.
In addition to the 50 or so types of flower honey always available, the store also sells royal jelly, propolis, pollen, bee pollen, processed honey products, and products using wasp extracts, as well as a very popular honey tasting corner where visitors can taste more than 40 types of honey.
Along the mountain stream at the Hayachine trailhead is a honeycomb that has been in existence since the Taisho Era (1912-1926).
