Large ginkgo tree of Chosenji Temple

A large old tree that is 1,100 years old, 30m high, and 15m in trunk circumference, located in the precincts of Chosenji Temple in front of the city gate. There are many bumps resembling breasts at the bottom of the branches, and it is said that worshiping these bumps will cure breast diseases and improve milk production.

Kokuji ware, which has a history of about 200 years, has a glaze made from local clay and is attractive for its unique bitterness and simplicity. Even now, each piece is handcrafted using the potter's wheel, using old techniques. There is also a pottery class where you can make your own original cups.
