Rain and snow water is purified through the deciduous strata of broad-leaved trees such as beech and oak that spreads throughout the mountains of Iwaizumi Town, and is further filtered through limestone layers over many years. Ryusendo Cave water has by far the highest calcium content of any mineral water in Japan, and is rich in minerals in a well-balanced manner. The Ryusendo Cave Tourist Hall, which was located across from Ryusendo Cave, opened in April 2023 as a new exchange base, ``Ryusendo Wakka''.
