    A shrine with a long history, located in a forest of old trees. Enshrined as the deity of Uka Nōtama no Mikoto, it is one of the most prominent shrines in the Sanriku region and is visited by many visitors from far away. In particular, the annual festival in May is crowded with many worshipers.
    Take the JR Tohoku Shinkansen to Shukudo Station on the JR Hachinohe Line and get off at Morioka Station, then transfer at JR Tohoku Main Line Hachinohe Station.
