Amagazuka

Amagazuka is said to be the site of a fierce battle during the Battle of Kunohe (1591), where the dead of Toyotomi's army were buried. At that time, the Toyotomi clan was called ``Tenka-sama,'' so it is said that the name came to be called ``Tenkazuka.'' Here you will find a Nanbu song house, a giant Katsura tree, and a spring that remembers the life of those days. Also, Ise Shinmei, Amaterasu Daijingu, Kasuga Myojin, Ujigami, Koshin, Tenma Yamagami, Fudo, Ebisu, Daikoku, Shichifukujin, Bozo who protects the family, Yakushi, Wakamiya Hachiman-sama, Sarutahiko-sama, Myo-jin, Mizu-jin, Mikata-ko-jin, Hipo-shin, Oyagami Daimyo-jin, Misagoden-sama, Mizumune Kannon, Horuyo-sama, Kojin-sama, Tokoronoboshin. It is said that there are 24 gods, including the gods.

Himebotaru habitat at Mt. Orizume

The area near the summit of Mt. Oritsume has abundant spring water and a Quercus forest, making it one of the largest habitats for fireflies in Japan. In 2018, it was designated as a natural monument by Iwate Prefecture as the "Mt. Orizume firefly habitat."

Ninohe Civic Cultural Center (cherry blossoms along the Mabuchi River)

A facility equipped with a large hall, medium hall, and exhibition room. Throughout the museum, there are many works by Shigeo Fukuda, who has ties to Ninohe City. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom along the Mabuchi River, and the area is crowded with cherry blossom viewing visitors.
