A mountain that represents Iwate Prefecture. To climb Mt. Iwate from the Nishine area of ​​Hachimantai City, you can go from the Yakehashiri or Kamibo trailhead. On the Yakehashiri climbing course, there is a large community of the alpine plant Dicentra, and many small pink flowers bloom on the treeless mountainside, pleasing the eyes of climbers. Sakuramatsu Park

The old shrine building of Sakuramatsu Shrine is located under the quay adjacent to Fudo Falls. Legend has it that long ago, villagers were surprised to see cherry blossoms blooming on pine trees and worshiped them as a good omen. Within the precincts, there is a ``Marriage Tree'' where two trees are tied together, and a watermill that was relocated from the village, and you can take a leisurely stroll along the promenade along the mountain stream in about 30 minutes. In addition, the rest house "Takinochaya" near the parking lot has a snack corner and a corner selling local specialties.

Gozaishoenchi

If you follow the promenade from near the Hachimantai Aspite Line Gate exit, you will arrive at Gozaishoenchi. The area around Gozaisho-numa and Akanuma is a treasure trove of alpine plants with pretty flowers in full bloom. Let's take a walk along the wetland path while paying attention to the wetland plants that color the seasons: spring, summer, and autumn. The two swamps have fantastic colors, but Akanuma in particular is also called ``Goshikinuma'' because the color of the lake changes due to iron oxide, and it is an ice-free lake that does not freeze even at -30 degrees Celsius. be. You can walk around the two swamps once along the wooden path in 90 minutes. I'm looking forward to encountering alpine plants such as daylilies and daisies.
