The fireworks festival has been popularly known as ``Chakkoi Village's Huge Fireworks Festival''. 10,000 fireworks of various sizes, including the prefecture's largest ``2-shakudama'' and the powerful Star Mine, color the summer night sky. The underwater fireworks that bloom over the Kitakami River in front of the main stand are worth seeing. Hemispherical fireworks spread out in front of your eyes, illuminating the surface of the river.
