The Tohoku Agricultural Research Center of the National Agriculture and Food Research Organization (NARO) plants rapeseed (rapeseed rape) every year for the purpose of preventing continuous cropping problems in experimental fields and as green manure. Enjoy the ``rape blossoms'' spreading all over the field with the snow-covered Mt. Iwate in the background.
