Watari hot spring

The open-air bath surrounded by rocks and famous stones is also popular, with a Japanese garden full of Japanese atmosphere and attentive service with female customers in mind. Simple sulfur spring, effective for neuralgia, rheumatism, gastrointestinal diseases, etc.

Yukawa Onsen

Located 4km south of Hottoyuda Station, there are Dezu-no-yu, Naka-no-yu, and Oku-no-yu, and many inns along the Koogase River, a tributary of the Waga River. It has been popular as a hot spring resort since ancient times, and many visitors come all the way from Akita. About 3km from Oku-no-Yu is the floating island of Yukawa-numa, which is designated as a natural monument by the prefecture.

Yumoto Onsen

The oldest hot spring town in Yuda Onsenkyo, known as the place where Masaoka Shiki stayed. It is a bitter sodium sulfate spring that gushes out on the left bank of the Waga River, 4km north of Hottoyuda Station. The word ``Yuda'' originates from the expression ``a place where hot water gushes out from inside the rice fields,'' which was used in the Kanbun era (around 1661-1673), and refers to the current Yumoto Onsen.

Matsukawa Onsen

A hot spring in the mountains at an altitude of 800m along the winding Matsukawa River. Four inns welcome you with quiet steam. This hot spring has a long history and was first opened about 260 years ago.

Kawajiri Onsen Hottoyuda

Yuda Onsenkyo is blessed with abundant hot spring resources and beautiful natural scenery. As the gateway to the area, there is a station building with a hot spring called ``Hotto Yuda.'' This facility, which is rare even in Japan, is a rustic building that makes use of the elegance of wood.The clock tower on the tongari roof and the town bird ``Yamadori'' are modeled on it. The decoration is unique. The large public bath includes a bubbly bath, a sleeping bath, a private bath, and a rest room.

Sugo Onsen

A small hot spring on the border of Iwate and Akita prefectures on National Route 107. Not only is transportation convenient, but the view is also exceptional. The landmark is a doll called ``Kashima-sama'' that wards off evil spirits. There are 4 inns with a rustic atmosphere and 2 day trip bath facilities.

Okutsu Onsen

Hot Herb Kinshu, the only inn in Okutsu Onsen, has a unique ``walking bath'' that you won't find anywhere else in the town. Walking bath, as the name suggests, is a bathing method that increases the effect by walking, and is the original of this hot spring bath. There is a walking course in the bathtub, and the bottom is lined with cobblestones, which stimulate pressure points on the soles of your feet and improve blood circulation.

Seinan Onsen Kaiun no Yu (day trip bathing facility)

A day trip bathing facility in Morioka City that opened in April 2009. The spring water that comes up from 1200 meters underground is a simple alkaline hot spring that will leave your skin smooth. Authentic Korean style bedrock bath "Puru Kama" is also popular.

Yamanokami Onsen Yukaen

The spring quality is a simple alkaline hot spring that is effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, frozen shoulders, etc., and is characterized by its smooth texture. This is a hot spring inn that uses 100% high-quality hot spring water.

Molden hot springs

This is a hot spring that comes from the Morden Zeolite raw stone layer in Hosono Ward, Ashiro-cho, Hachimantai City, and the quality of the hot spring water is sodium hydrogen carbonate spring (formerly known as sodium bicarbonate spring). Baking soda spring has the effect of washing away fat and secretions from the skin, and is said to be a ``beauty bath'' and ``rejuvenation bath'' due to its excellent skin beautifying effects.

cotton hat hot springs

The landmark is the chocolate tower and the cotton hat tower on the roof. There are two types of baths: Western-style ``Cosmos-no-Yu'' and Japanese-style ``Rindo-no-Yu,'' and the baths for men and women change every week.

Appi hot spring

The spring water is a simple hot spring that is colorless and odorless, with an abundant flow of 630 liters per minute. *On July 22, 2017, "AIPP Onsen Patio" was reopened as "Appi Onsen Shirakaba no Yu."
