Roadside Station “Oritsume” Ododekan Restaurant

This facility overlooks the Prefectural Natural Park and allows you to enjoy your meal while relaxing and feeling nature. The local cuisine, ``Hitsumi Set Meal,'' has a soup stock made from young local chicken that gives it even more depth. Outside, we grill ``kushimochi'' every day. Mochi made from wheat flour is an important local snack, and is a masterpiece of Kita-Iwate's Konamon culture. The roadside station also has a wide selection of Kunohe village specialties such as sweet tea and mountain fruit juice.

Town station “Masazane-kan”

Masazanekan is a town station that opened in July 2011. On the first floor, there is a product sales corner, where locally produced sweet tea, grape juice, cereals, Nanbu kake, Nanbu rice crackers, etc. are displayed. There is also a free rest area and a kids corner where children can play, making it a convenient place to rest.

Although it is said to be 200 times sweeter than sugar, it is calorie-free and has beauty and health benefits such as suppressing allergies, ulcers, and bad breath, purifying the blood, diuretic, and regulating the intestines. It is also used as a raw material for crude drugs.
