Located between Yomogna-yama and Taneyama Plateau, and home to the Abarayama Municipal Pasture, the azalea colony is in full bloom from late May to mid-June, creating a wonderful contrast between the vivid green and vermilion colors.
Take the Esashi City Bus to the Babazaki bus stop on the Ite Koujiya Kuchisawa Line (via Kami-Ite), or take the JR Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train from Mizusawa Esashi Station to the Esashi Bus Center bus stop on the Iwate-ken Kotsu Esashi Fujiwara no Sato Line, and change buses.
