Himegamiyama
Mount Himegami, which stands opposite Mt. Iwate, is 1123.8m above sea level. The beautiful triangular shape of the mountain with its gentle slopes catches the eye. A mountain opening event will be held on the third Sunday of May at a famous spot for lily of the valley. The most popular way to climb the mountain is the Ipponsugi Course, which weaves through a white birch forest while admiring the alpine plants. It takes about an hour and a half to reach the top. The view is outstanding, and you can see the skyline of Mt. Iwate, Mt. Hayachine, and the mountains bordering Akita Prefecture.
