Goronuma

Goronuma, located to the south of the ruins of Hizumekan, which was built by Toshihira Hizume, the grandson of Kiyohira, the first generation of the Fujiwara clan in Hiraizumi, entertains visitors with cherry blossoms in the spring and swans in the winter. In July, the ancient lotus (Chusonji lotus), which was revived from seeds found in Yasuhiro's head bucket at Chusonji, blooms beautifully in the lotus pond next to the parking lot. On the east bank, there is a stone monument called the Night Cry Stone, which is said to have the sound of the cries of a woman who was turned into a human pillar to stop the repeated collapse of the swamp embankment.

Jingaoka Camp Ruins and Bee Shrine

Jingaoka, where Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and his son Yoriie are said to have set up camp during the Nine Years War, was the base of numerous wars. In addition to historical sites related to the War of the Nine Years, such as the Bee Shrine that is said to have been commissioned by Yoriyoshi and his son Yoriie, and Nakajima of the Moon Ring and Hino Ring that Yoriyoshi ordered built, There is a clear water that is said to have been used by Minamoto no Yoritomo to wash the head of the murdered Fujiwara Yasuhira during his conquest of the Oshu Fujiwara clan. It is a sacred place full of poetic beauty, with cherry blossoms and azaleas in spring, hydrangeas in summer, and autumn leaves in autumn.

Higashineyama

This mountain (928.4 m above sea level) is located to the west of Shiwa Town, about 15 km south of Morioka City, and is the southernmost mountain (928.4 m above sea level) of the Shiba Sanzan, which is connected to Mt.
