Fusa Cave Ruins

This cave is a horizontal limestone cave developed in limestone. It has a total length of 230 meters, and human and animal bones and pottery from the Jomon period were unearthed during excavations.

Mt. Hourai

Altitude: 787.8m. It has been designated as a prefectural natural park conservation area, and is famous for its abundance of serpentine alpine plants, such as the Doudan azalea that blooms in early summer. From the summit, you can see the Kitakami Plain and Mt. Iwate in the distance.

Mt. Haradai

Altitude: 894.7m. The summit, which is flat from north to south, offers views of Mt. Hikami and the Pacific Ocean to the east, Mt. Omori and Mt. Murone on the border of Miyagi Prefecture to the south, and the mountains of Kurikoma Quasi-National Park to the west in the distance.
