Higamori Forest Park

Located at the headwaters of the Senmaya River at the foot of Mt. Murone, the forest park is characterized by its view of the reservoir full of clear water and Senmaya below. The source of the Senmaya River, which flows into the reservoir, is water that springs from underground at Mt. Murone, and is reputed to be rich in minerals and delicious. Many people go out of their way to fetch water because of its delicious taste.

Seki no Ichi Sake Brewery

The Ichinoseki region is blessed with abundant water and rice cultivation from the Kitakami and Ou mountains. This sake is brewed with the secret techniques and love of Nambu's chief brewer, using water grown in this land and carefully selected rice. In addition, there is a brewery that produces Iwate Kura Beer, a cafe, and a restaurant with a menu that makes use of local cuisine and local ingredients. [Main products] Sekiichi

Higashiyama Washi “Paper Making Museum”

Exhibition and sale of handmade "Higashiyama Washi", which is produced according to an 800-year tradition. In addition to dolls and accessories, we also sell a variety of washi-related items, such as torn pictures and washi paper for pressed flowers. You can also try out simple paper making. The journey time is 15-30 minutes. You can make your own washi paper with your favorite colors and leaves.
