Koiwai Winter Lights Galaxy Farm Night

Koiwai Farm’s illumination event “Koiwai Winter Lights Galaxy Farm Night” will be held again this year. In addition to the annual popular “Tunnel of Light”, “Galaxy Express SL”, and 20m-tall “Giant Christmas Tree”, the “Canvas Illumination” depicting a rainbow over Koiwai Farm with Mt. Iwate in the background will be revived. Also, from January 1st to January 3rd, the New Year’s fireworks display will be held from 7:30 pm. Enjoy the illuminations filled with light.
Furthermore, Koiwai Farm is committed to environmental conservation, sustainability, and circulation.

Japanese sake

Iwate is a sake brewing region that has nurtured Japan’s three major brewers, the Nanbu Breweries.
“Junmai Daiginjo Yuinoka” uses the sake rice “Yui no Ka” that was born in Iwate Prefecture, is brewed at a sake brewery in the prefecture, and will be sold in limited quantities.

Mamebujiru (Mamebujiru)

Mamebu is a sweet and salty local dish from Yamagata-cho, Kuji City, made by kneading flour with a little salt and water, wrapping it with walnuts and brown sugar, and simmering it with vegetables in soy sauce. Cod (speckled)

“Miyako cod” is one of the most caught fish in the country. It is known for its freshness because it is iced and boxed immediately on board the ship after being caught. Cod is a fish that loses its freshness quickly, but locally it can be eaten as sashimi.
Events include the “Miyako Cod Gourmet Fair,” where each restaurant serves its signature cod dishes using cooking methods that take advantage of the freshness unique to the production area, and the Miyako Cod Festival, which is a lively event where fresh cod and processed products are sold. is held.

Hairy crab (injury)

Oysters

Oyster farming shelves spread along the coast from Miyako City to Rikuzentakata City. The peak season is from November to February, and the oysters in season are large and have a plump texture.
