Motsuji Pure Land Garden [World Heritage Site]

The Motsuji Pure Land Garden, which is centered around Oizumi Pond, has been designated by the national government as a special historical site and a special place of scenic beauty. The Motsuji Pure Land Garden has Mt. Toyama in the background, and the stonework of Suhama, Tsukiyama, Dejima, and Tobijima are placed around Oizumigaike. Gardening techniques that incorporate natural landscapes are shown throughout.

Hokan Shrine

It is said that Yoshitsune and his servants, who escaped from Hiraizumi, rested at this Takarahama beach along the Torijugawa River. Hokan Shrine was built by the ancestors of this area and was named ``Hokan Okami'' in honor of Yoshitsune. The shrine was burnt down in 1899, and a stone shrine now stands.

Ishizuka Ryokan [Uguisado Onsen]

This is the oldest wooden facility among the inns and hotels operating in Uguishu Onsen. This inn has a good old Showa retro look. The hot springs are 100% free flowing from the source of ``Uguisado Onsen''. We also have a self-catering area for guests to prepare their own meals.

Hachiro Sato Memorial Museum “Scolded Bozu”

*Closed (reopening date undecided) Hachiro Sato is known for writing the lyrics for nursery rhymes such as ``Happy Hinamatsuri'' and ``Cute Hide and Seek,'' as well as the popular song ``Ringo no Uta.'' According to him, he wrote about 20,000 works during his lifetime. Through his writings, records, and belongings, we explore the warm personality and free-spirited way of life that overflows in the world of his works.

Parasitic tree exhibition room (inside Yamaguchi Community Center)

The model for the main character of Roka Tokutomi's novel ``The Parasitic Tree'' was Zenpei Ogasawara, a native of Yamaguchi, Miyako City. His belongings such as the original notebook for Parasitic Tree and love letters are on display.
