ANA Holiday Inn Resort Appi Kogen “Hills Building”

On December 16, 2021, the name was changed from "Appi Hills Shirakaba no Mori" and "Appi Kogen Onsen Hotel." This is a resort hotel consisting of two buildings: the ``Hot Spring Building,'' which is connected by a passageway to ``Shirakaba no Yu,'' which has one of the largest open-air baths in Tohoku, and the ``Hills Building,'' which is directly connected to the ski resort.

Shiratoritate ruins

The Shiratoritate ruins are located north of Chusonji and are said to be the remains of the castle where Abe Yoritoki's eighth son, Shiratori Hachiro Noritoto, lived. It is an important ruin related to the Abe clan, which wielded power in the late 11th century, and tells the historical background of the surrounding area before Hiraizumi was formed.
