Tayama Ski Resort

Tayama Ski Resort is the only ski resort in the prefecture with a ski jump hill, and has a track record of hosting events such as the National Athletic Meet and the Inter-High School Championships. It has a normal hill jump, a cross-country course, a biathlon course, and an Eversnow jump in the summer.

Prefectural Matsukawa Campsite

It is used as a base campsite for Mt. Iwate, and the rich natural environment surrounded by beech and oak trees is attractive. There are approximately 70 tent sites, with a kitchen and toilet.

Okunakayama Highland Gelato Yukiakari

Gelato carefully made with fresh milk from Okunakayama Highlands. Including seasonal products, we have a repertoire of approximately 40 types, from which we offer 12 types of gelato that change daily. Please enjoy the fresh taste of freshly made products in the workshop attached to the store.

Shigaku Ski Resort

The area around the foot of Mt. Shigaku is being developed as an outdoor activity zone. Mt. Chokai can be seen from Mt. Shigaku, which is 563 meters above sea level, and the ski slopes at the ski resort are generally short, but there are steep and gentle slopes, making it enjoyable for the whole family, from advanced skiers to beginners. There is one bowler lift. There is also a 2.5km cross-country course.
