Hiraniwa Kogen

The vast Hiraniwa Plateau, located 800 meters above sea level, is a scenic place designated as a prefectural natural park. Starting with spring's emissaries, katakuris (dogtooth violet) and other marshland plants, followed by the dazzling green of the birch forests in early summer, the azaleas blooming all over the plateau, the autumn leaves in fall, and skiing in winter, this is a field where one can enjoy nature to the fullest throughout the year. Large ginkgo tree of Chosenji Temple

A large old tree that is 1,100 years old, 30m high, and 15m in trunk circumference, located in the precincts of Chosenji Temple in front of the city gate. There are many bumps resembling breasts at the bottom of the branches, and it is said that worshiping these bumps will cure breast diseases and improve milk production.

Samurai Beach Seawater Pool

A seawater pool carved out of a rocky area adjacent to the Kitasamurahama Campsite. There are no waves, so children can enjoy it with peace of mind. There are coin showers (100 yen for 3 minutes), changing rooms, and flush toilets.
