Marios Observatory

The top floor (20th floor) of Malios, which opened in November 1997 in the west exit area of JR Morioka Station, has an observation deck that offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Morioka in all four seasons. All Malios buildings are closed on New Year's Day, but only the observation deck on the 20th floor will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Please enjoy the first sunrise of the year. Enmanji Kannondo

Tamuramaro Sakanoue, the same as Kiyomizu-dera, built Toi at the time of the peace era, the second temple of Ou 33 Kannon Fudaraku. The Bato Kanzeon here has been passed down as a ninja piece, and there is this monument. It is also located on a hill, making it a popular viewing spot.

Sakurayama Shrine

It was founded in 1749. The shrine building is located on the site of the Sannomaru ruins of Morioka Castle, and was worshiped as the guardian deity of the Nanbu domain. In 1926, a sword made by Kuninaga in the early Nanbokucho period was donated to Sakurayama Shrine by Nanbu Rijun, and is designated as an important cultural property of the country. The annual festival is held from May 25th to 27th, and includes a parade of warriors and offerings of traditional performing arts.

Iwayama Observation Deck

From the top of the rocky mountain at an altitude of 340.5 meters to the east of the city, you can see the entire city, the mountain range centered around Mt. Iwate, and the flow of the Kitakami River.

Oyanagi

Takikan Cave

Amano-Iwato Waterfall, which appears at the end of the cave, is one of the most powerful waterfalls inside a cave in Japan. The sound of the mighty waterfall reverberates inside the dome. The cave has a "Normal Course," "Adventure Course," and "Exploration Course," allowing visitors to enjoy exploration according to their level. The Taki Kannon-do Tourist Center, renovated in April 2024, sells local products, has a cafeteria where you can enjoy Taki Nagashi Curry and other dishes, and a terrace where you can enjoy the famous "Taki Nagashi Soba" that flows from bamboo tubes, Visitors can relax and unwind.
