Yamabuki Castle Toe

This is the residence of the Ohara Chiba clan, one of the Seven Kasai Horsemen, and one of the Higashiyama Hatashira. It is one of the largest buildings in the county, measuring 400m from east to west, 200m from north to south, and 80m in height.

Saigyo Sakura Forest

This is a famous spot for cherry blossoms that was once written about in a poem by Saigyo, saying, ``The cherry blossoms of Mt. Takuine without any hesitation should bloom in addition to Yoshino.'' In the past, the cherry blossom forest, where pale peach blossoms made the mountain look hazy, has been revived. More than 3,000 cherry blossoms of 100 different species, including Oyamazakura, have been planted, and their branches are showing off their splendor year after year. Mount Tsukuine is likened to Kyoto's Higashiyama and is also known for its Daimonji ware. Houkikaya

"Kaya" is an evergreen tree of the Taxus family. The base diameter is 1.9m, the height is 23m, and the branch length is 21m. It is the largest tree in the prefecture and is approximately 700 years old. Prefecturally designated cultural property.

Mt. Hourai

Altitude: 787.8m. It has been designated as a prefectural natural park conservation area, and is famous for its abundance of serpentine alpine plants, such as the Doudan azalea that blooms in early summer. From the summit, you can see the Kitakami Plain and Mt. Iwate in the distance.

Wind Scented Hill Michinoku Horse Riding Club (in Murone Kogen Ranch)

It was opened in 1971 in the Murone Yamanchufuku wilderness area in order to promote dairy farming in the Daito, Senmaya, and Murone areas. Currently, in addition to grazing cattle, we have opened a horse riding club where you can enjoy horseback riding. You can also dine at the restaurant while enjoying the refreshing highland atmosphere. The equestrian department reopened in April 2010.
