Hidehira lacquer

The fixtures used at Chuson-ji Temple and Motsu-ji Temple in Hiraizumi were handed down to the folk, and they are also made in Hanamaki. The lacquer from the southern region is of the highest quality in the world and is used in high-quality lacquerware. Also, as the birthplace of Kenji Miyazawa, lacquerware related to Kenji's works are also made.

With the cooperation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Dick Bruna Japan Co., Ltd., this is an original cafe in Kamaishi with the theme of Miffy, the main character in the rabbit picture books drawn by Dutch picture book author and graphic designer Dick Bruna. Although it is a character cafe that incorporates Miffy's worldview with its soothing colors and warm design, it is also a gathering place that is open to local people.

A ski resort located on Nishidake at an altitude of 1,018m. Boasting an abundant snowfall and smooth powder snow with low humidity, from the summit you can see the sparkling white mountains of Mt. This workshop is run by Yukiya Izumida, a potter from Rikuzentakata City who has received high praise in numerous contests. In addition to soil from Noda Village, he continues to create works with a focus on local materials, such as using loose ore from the Noda Tamagawa Mine. The workshop is adjacent to the Asian Folk Art Museum. Works can also be purchased from Gallery IZUMITA in Tamagawa, Nodamura.
