Ame-nimo-makez noren

The fully dyed ``Noren'' is dyed with the entire text of Kenji Miyazawa's masterpiece ``Ame Nimo Makezu'' and is carefully dyed using traditional dyeing techniques. Many of the dyed items made in Hanamaki are based on the works of Kenji Miyazawa, and are popular as souvenirs from Hanamaki, such as curtains, coasters, bags, and aprons.

Tayama Ski Resort

Tayama Ski Resort is the only ski resort in the prefecture with a ski jump hill, and has a track record of hosting events such as the National Athletic Meet and the Inter-High School Championships. It has a normal hill jump, a cross-country course, a biathlon course, and an Eversnow jump in the summer.

Small Oyado Hana Temari

Kenji Monaka Honpo Suehiro

Founded in 1955. A long-established confectionery shop in Hanamaki City, the birthplace of Kenji Miyazawa. A large garden with a diameter of 14 cm with the words "Ame Nimo Makezu Style Nimo Makezu" engraved on it. The small Monaka engraved with ``Kaze no Matasaburo'' is popular.

Prefectural Matsukawa Campsite

It is used as a base campsite for Mt. Iwate, and the rich natural environment surrounded by beech and oak trees is attractive. There are approximately 70 tent sites, with a kitchen and toilet.

Nanohana and Mt. Iwate

Shinobi piece

A simple horse doll made from rice straw, unique to the Hanamaki region. There are many local toys related to horses across the country, but this one is unique. There is a legend that a straw horse was made for love, etc., and it was secretly placed in the Kannon-do Hall of Enmanji Temple at night, and wrapped in yellow or red cloth as a token of gratitude for the fulfillment of a wish. Folk crafts derived from matchmaking.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka Ekimae

This hotel opened in October 2021 and is approximately 3 minutes walk from the east exit of JR Morioka Station. Convenience store available on site.

Roadside Station “Yamada” Oista

A roadside station that relocated and reopened in July 2023 near the Sanriku Coastal Road Yamada IC. The nickname "Oisuta" is a combination of oysters, a specialty of Yamada Town, and the meaning of "come on." Inside the facility, there is also a tourist information center and a restaurant where you can enjoy local specialties from Yamada Town, oysters and other seafood. In addition, there is a large parking lot and a playground for children on the premises, making it the perfect place to take a break from driving around Sanriku.
