Tai hot spring

Located about 1 km west of Hanamaki Onsen, in the mountains along the Daikawa River, this historic hot spring opened in the 14th century and is said to have been visited by the feudal lord of the Nanbu domain. The calm atmosphere of a therapeutic bathhouse remains, and the natural scenery of the four seasons can be enjoyed. The quality and efficacy of the springs vary from inn to inn.

Nanbufuji Country Club

3 courses and 27 holes designed by "Sir" Peter Thomson, who has designed famous courses around the world. It is often the stage for big tournaments.

The course is surrounded by red pines that are over 100 years old, and is located on a hill overlooking the mountains of Mt. Iwate, Mt. Himekami, and Hachimantai. Restaurant Iwaizumi (inside the roadside station Iwaizumi)

Shorthorn beef raised freely on large pastures is a healthy beef with low fat and a high red color. The ``Iwaizumi Teishoku'', which mainly consists of tender braised beef, is a popular dish. In addition, the noodles of ``Acorn Ramen'', which can only be tasted here, are made using wheat flour from Iwate Prefecture and special acorn flour.
