Takizawa Buried Cultural Properties Center Historical Site Park “Yubuzawa Stone Ring”

The Takizawa Village Buried Cultural Properties Center opened in April 2000 next to the historic park ``Yubunezawa Stone Circle''. Approximately 300 items, including pottery and stone tools excavated from ruins within the village, are openly displayed. The museum is made up of five corners where you can learn about the excavation process and the history of the village. Additionally, for those who require explanations or who wish to touch the artifacts themselves, they can touch and view the exhibits under the guidance of an interpreter. We are offering historical experience courses. 8 types including earthenware making and magatama making

Woody Forest Hall/Charcoal Science Museum

A wooden community facility with the theme of "interaction between trees, greenery, and culture." You can fully enjoy the goodness of wood with its unique structure. Inside, there is a ``charcoal science museum'' where you can see everything from the charcoal manufacturing process to the future, as well as a direct sales store for ``Kuzumaki wine,'' where you can sample wine. There are promenades and orienteering courses in the surrounding area, making it the perfect place for walks and forest bathing.

Nomura Kodo/Ara Ebisu Memorial Museum

Nomura Kodo, the creator of "Heiji Zenigata," was also active as a classical music critic called "Araebisu. The memorial hall exhibits Kodo's background and accomplishments, his many writings including the original story "Zenigata Heiji Catcher's Tale," and his collection of SP records and phonographs. From the spacious gallery, visitors can enjoy a view of Kodo's birthplace and beautiful hometown.

Shiroyama Park

Shiroyama Park is a small hill in the center of the town. It is said that the Takamizuji Castle, the residence of the Shiba clan, was built here during the medieval period, making it a site of great historical value. In spring, the park is decorated with approximately 2,000 cherry trees, so much so that the entire hill looks cherry blossom-colored when viewed from a short distance away. During the cherry blossom viewing season, the park is crowded with visitors. Visitors can freely stroll or jog in the park, and can also enjoy the campground. There is a monument to the poem by Nomura Kodo, the author of "Zenigata Heiji.

Tono Furusatomura Nature Museum

Exhibits include specimens of plants and insects that live naturally in Tono, stuffed animals, and photographs.

Morioka Castle Ruins Park (Iwate Park)

This is the former site of Morioka Castle, which was the residence of the lords of the Nanbu domain. Morioka Castle was completed in 1633 during the reign of Shigenao, the third lord of the domain. The castle was built on a hillside at the confluence of the former Kitakami River and Nakatsu River. Today, the stonewalls and pond remain, and the area is known as Morioka Castle Ruins Park, which is enjoyed by citizens throughout the four seasons.

Great Tang Storehouse

It is a 50m high cliff of Paleogene tuff that juts out into Noda Port. It is also said that high-ranking monks from the Heike and Song dynasties drifted ashore. The beauty of the coast here is also stunning.

Inukurayama

The Mt. Iwate mountain climbing Amihari course passes through Mt. Inukura. You can enjoy the view from the 1,408m summit and get close to nature as a light mountain climb. Please enjoy the vast scenery of Shizukuishi that spreads out below you.

Choshoji Temple

The drum in the main hall of Chosho-ji Temple was created during the Ichinoseki domain era by Takeaki Tamura, who asked Rojuku Abe Bungonokami to grant him permission to play the ``Taiko of Time'', which was previously restricted to the Imperial Palace, the Shogunate, and the three major families. At that time, it was envied by the neighborhood and was even described in songs as ``too much for Ichinoseki''. Currently, the second-generation drum is on display at the Shinkansen Ichinoseki Station concourse.
