Suemae Kagura

Miyako City

Coast

It is said that Shugenja Ichimyo-in taught it to villagers in Suemae Village and Tashiro Village in 1700, and later dedicated it to the local Kuromori Kagura and Kumano Shrine shrines. In 2001, the Suemae Kagura 300th Anniversary Festival was held with great fanfare, and Seiken, Kagura, Purification, and Mountain God Dance were performed. Currently, the preservation society is actively carrying out activities to pass down the heritage to children, and the entire community is working together through exchanges that transcend generations.
