Natsuyu Kogen Onsen Usamori no Yu (day trip bathing facility)

A simple hot spring (hypotonic, weakly alkaline hot spring), open-air bath surrounded by mountains on all sides. You can also see Kitakami city from the terraced bathtub.

Fukuda bread

This is a bakery that is so well-loved by the locals that there is no one in Morioka who doesn't know about it. It's sold at supermarkets, but if you go to a Fukuda bread shop, they'll add your favorite jams and toppings and cook it right in front of you.

Kenji Miyazawa Poetry Monument (Kurosaki Observation Deck)

Two monuments to Kenji Miyazawa have been erected in Fudai Village. The monument "Kogan Kisen Boat No. 1" is located at Kurosaki Observatory. The poem was erected in 2015 at a location overlooking Nedari Beach, based on the theory that Nedari Beach is the setting for this work.

Kenji Miyazawa Poetry Monument (Matsuiso Park)

Two monuments to Kenji Miyazawa's poems have been erected in Fudai Village. One of them is the monument "A defeated boy sings" in Matsuso Park, which was erected in 2004 based on the theory that Horiuchi Port was the port where Kenji boarded his motor boat when he traveled to Sanriku in 1925. The inscription was chosen to be "Sanshiro Gyokyaku e no Jealousy" written by Kenji at dawn on the day he boarded the ship, which was adapted into a literary poem, "Defeated Boy's Song".

Natsuyu Onsen

Natsuyu Onsen is a deep secluded hot spring located at the northern end of Kurikoma Quasi-National Park, overlooking the Natsuyu Valley surrounded by virgin beech forest. The discovery and use of hot springs has a long history, and a medicinal book from the Edo period described it as ``the most famous hot spring in the Nanbu Domain.'' In the hot spring rankings published in Edo and Kyoto at the time, it was ranked as the highest ozeki in the east, along with Hongu Onsen in Kishu, the ozeki in the west. It is still one of the ``100 famous hot springs in Japan''.

Foxbaden Spa Dome

A 100% natural hot spring where you can enjoy bubble baths and electric saunas. We recently excavated the No. 2 source (spring temperature 45℃), and sodium chloride and hydrogen carbonate springs gushed out. It is a hot spring that will make your skin smooth. Please use it for meetings, large and small banquets, karaoke, etc.

Fountain flower

A handmade tofu shop located along Route 282 in Hachimantai City. Freshly fried ``Soymilk Donatsu'' and ``Soymilk Soft'', where the aroma of tofu fills your mouth when you take a bite, are also popular with tourists.

On the Sanriku coast, it is common to store raw sea urchin in milk bottles with seawater, and ``bin-don'' was born from this unique style. This is an experiential gourmet dish where you can pack Miyako's seasonal ingredients into milk bottles and eat them over other rice. It is offered at several stores in Miyako City, and each store offers a unique version of ``bin-don''.

miffy cafe kamaishi

With the cooperation of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Dick Bruna Japan Co., Ltd., this is an original cafe in Kamaishi with the theme of Miffy, the main character in the rabbit picture books drawn by Dutch picture book author and graphic designer Dick Bruna. Although it is a character cafe that incorporates Miffy's worldview with its soothing colors and warm design, it is also a gathering place that is open to local people.

big roof takizawa

Big Roof Takizawa consists of a community center, library, antenna shop, and restaurant, and is a complex facility that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The rooftop is an open space with a terrace overlooking Mt. Iwate.

We are particular about using local ingredients such as Tankaku beef and Sasuke pork. Pastas made with seasonal ingredients are also popular.
