Shitaameya

A long-established confectionery shop located on the Iwaizumi-cho Odori shopping street. The walnut yokan uses local walnuts from the Iwaizumi region and is finished in a yokan that brings out the flavor. Milk rice crackers are made from milk grown on the highlands of Iwaizumi, and are crispy with a rich buttery flavor. We also sell homemade bread at the store.

Rest place Esashi Fujiwara no Sato

The restaurant and store are located on the first floor, and a large hall for groups is located on the second floor. Restaurant Kiyohira offers a wide variety of dishes, and its original menu using local ingredients is also very popular. The most popular dish is the vegetable ramen, which is filled with the flavor of vegetables and is the chef's specialty. Once you try it, you will want to eat it again. Jaja-men" (available only from April 1 to November 30) is a popular menu item among tourists. The "Oshu Suiton (Hatto) Gozen" is a year-round menu item. It is made from the specialty gargile (a cruciferous leaf vegetable native to Egypt), which is bright green in color and has a flavor similar to that of sesame seeds.

Squid Cracker Suda

The original Sugata's squid rice crackers were established in the Meiji era. It is made from squid from Sanriku and has a chewy, simple taste. We hope you will try it.

Iwayado Yokan Kaishindo

``Iwayado Yokan'', which has passed down the same taste and techniques for 300 years, dates back to the 17th century, when the lord of Iwayado Castle encouraged and had people make it. Nowadays, it is a famous confectionery representing Iwate and has won numerous awards.

Yakiniku/cold noodles Seirokaku

Renewal opening on December 12, 2015. Yakiniku Cold Noodle Restaurant is conveniently located in front of Morioka Station. The cold noodle soup is made from beef bones and shank meat, and the homemade firm noodles and homemade kimchi blend well together to create a delicious taste. The restaurant is also known for its yakiniku (barbecued beef), using only the finest Japanese black beef.

　The course features vast, flat greens. The course, one of the few open-style courses in Tohoku, is well known for its intelligent and varied layout, which provides golfers with a pleasant tension. Kumasuke Anpin

``Anpin'' is Daifuku mochi in the dialect of the southern region. It is a unique, hearty sweet made by wrapping Ogura bean paste in mochi and pouring Monaca River over it.

buckwheat mooncake

Mooncakes are a sweet that originated in China and are said to have been served during celebrations of the Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon. The common style is to wrap strained bean paste, white bean paste, etc. in a skin made of wheat flour, but this mooncake uses buckwheat flour produced in the prefecture for the skin.

santetsu crepe

As the name suggests, this "tiny crepe shop" is so cozy that you could easily walk past it. The menu includes about 40 different kinds of crepes, from desserts with jam, cake, and fruit to side dishes with cheese, tuna, and salad chicken. At first glance, it looks like an ordinary crepe store, but the "tiny crepe shop's" love for Iwate and Sanriku Railways has made the two menus popular.
