Narushima Washi Crafts Museum

The Narushima Washi Crafts Museum is a production base for Narushima Washi, the northernmost Japanese paper in Japan, and a facility for experiencing paper making. Hayachine Daikonryu Tsuchizawa Yamabushi Kagura

Narushima Mikumano Shrine

Narushima Mikumano Shrine was built by Tamuramaro Sakagami when he pacified the Emishi (barbarian tribes). Surrounded by 1,000-year-old trees, the shrine's tranquil setting creates a solemn atmosphere similar to that of the three Kii Kumano mountains, from which the shrine takes its name. Designated as an important cultural property by Iwate Prefecture in 1979. The precincts of the shrine are home to a 4.73-meter standing wooden statue of Kabuto-Bishamonten (Bishamonten) made from a single zelkova tree. 　Every May, the "Bishamon Festival and National Crying Sumo Tournament" is held to pray for the healthy growth of children.

Tase Fishing Park

Lake Tase is known as a treasure trove of freshwater fish, including carp and crucian carp. Tateishi Hyakusho Dance

It was started in the early Showa era as an annual ritual at Tateishi Inari Shrine to pray for and offer a rich harvest. The content of the dance is based on the theme of rice cultivation by farmers, and is a choreography of traditional agricultural work.The dance is set to the rhythm of drums, flutes, and bells, which are rich in earthy colors. Kesengawa

Goyozan, the upper reaches are home to ayu (sweetfish) and yamame (landlocked salmon), while the lower reaches are home to many gobies and gobies. In spring, live whitefish can be danced and eaten, the season for ayu fishing opens in July, and salmon fishing begins in October. The streams and rough rapids are suitable for ayu growth, and the Kesen River's unique korogashi, dobu fishing, and tomozuri fishing are popular, with the peak fishing season from August to September. Sakiori tradition museum

The ``Sakiori Folklore Museum'' has been set up as a facility to experience and pass on ``Sakiori,'' a technique that has been passed down in this region since before the Meiji era, by tearing old cloth and using it for the weft and weaving it into the warp using a loom. . There are 13 weaving machines in the museum, and even beginners can easily enjoy saki-weaving while receiving guidance, as well as displaying and selling saki-ori products.

Kasuga style Ochiai deer dance

The origin of the deer dance goes back 1,000 years, and the Kasuga style of Ochiai deer dance was performed by people carrying about 2 meters of Sasara bamboo on their backs, wearing deer masks, and beating a drum hung on their bellies. It is said that this festival began as a memorial service for a deer. It has ancient beliefs hidden in it, and has a high dignity even in its simplicity, and other dances that have been passed down in Towa Town include the Kanazu-style Tannai Shishi Odori and the Noganeyama Kagagara Shishi Odori.
