Fukuda bread

This is a bakery that is so well-loved by the locals that there is no one in Morioka who doesn't know about it. It's sold at supermarkets, but if you go to a Fukuda bread shop, they'll add your favorite jams and toppings and cook it right in front of you.

Kuratsubo turnip

Locals have long eaten it as a pickle, and in recent years it has been used as a condiment for soba noodles, sashimi, grilled meat, and other dishes. It is gaining popularity for its unique spiciness, which is different from that of chili peppers and wasabi. Grating it without peeling it enhances its pungency and flavor, and makes it more delicious.

Takabi flour/Takabi udon

Takabi is a crop that is suitable for Daito Town's climate and geology, and is rich in polyphenols that suppress oxidation. Takikiki flour, which is made by grinding the Takikiki into powder, is suitable for making dumplings. Takakibi udon, which uses 20% takakibi flour, is a new specialty of Daito Town.

Kumasuke Anpin

``Anpin'' is Daifuku mochi in the dialect of the southern region. It is a unique, hearty sweet made by wrapping Ogura bean paste in mochi and pouring Monaca River over it.

buckwheat mooncake

Mooncakes are a sweet that originated in China and are said to have been served during celebrations of the Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon. The common style is to wrap strained bean paste, white bean paste, etc. in a skin made of wheat flour, but this mooncake uses buckwheat flour produced in the prefecture for the skin.

Sanriku salt cider

Cider made with salt from Miyako and water from Ryusendo Cave. It is refreshing and easy to drink, and has a nostalgic old-fashioned taste. This drink is recommended as an anti-heat drink to get through the hot, sweaty summer.

Hotel Shion [Morioka Tsunagi Onsen]

All rooms are special seats for the ``Four Seasons of Lake Gosho.'' From your room, you can enjoy the view of the lake and mountains that change with the changing seasons. Sennin’s secret water

Sannozan Onsen Zuisenkyo

A single house inn in the mountains with three different sources along the Natsuyukawa River upstream of the Kitakamigawa River. The view along the river is excellent, and you can enjoy the changing seasons with cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snowy scenery. The mellow, lotion-like water is popular as "Bijin-no-yu" (hot water for beautiful women). The baths include "Yume no Yu", "Bijin no Yu", "Seseragi no Yu" (open-air bath for women only), "Shiki no Yu" (open-air bath for men), "Yoshimi no Yu" and "Nagomi no Yu" (private baths), and many more.
